🌿 Welcome to the St. Francis Garden

Hidden between the sacred walls of our historic church and chapel lies a treasured sanctuary — the St. Francis Garden. Often called Grace’s “secret garden,” this quiet, sacred space can only be accessed through our chapel. It is a place of solace, reflection, and deep spiritual connection, lovingly tended by the hands and hearts of our parishioners.

The garden takes its name and inspiration from St. Francis of Assisi, the beloved patron saint of animals, nature, and the environment. Known for his deep love of God’s creation and his gentle spirit, St. Francis reminds us of the divine presence in all living things. Within the garden, statues of St. Francis stand among the greenery, a constant symbol of peace, humility, and reverence for life. His presence here serves as an invitation to care deeply for each other, for the earth, and the whisper of God in nature.

Nestled around the chapel columbarium, where many loved ones are remembered in sacred rest, the garden offers a space for prayer, remembrance, and healing. Visitors often speak of the peace they feel here, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the earth and the spiritual warmth of this hidden refuge.

By day, the garden is alive with blooms and birdsong — a living tribute to creation. By night, it transforms into a place of quiet wonder, softly illuminated by solar lights and the glow of stained-glass windows from the chapel, casting holy light across the garden’s path.

We welcome you to discover the peace, love, and grace that so many have found in our “secret garden”.
